Ecommerce website design and development company
PromotEdge International is an international web, digital marketing and AI company. We design and build online stores for brands in the USA, Canada and other markets, on WooCommerce or custom code, with payments, shipping and tracking set up to suit how you sell. Our delivery team is in India.
In short
An ecommerce website has one job: to take a shopper from a search to a paid order with as little friction as possible. The look matters, but speed on a phone, clear product pages and a short checkout usually decide whether the sale happens.
If selling products is your main job and your needs are simple, Shopify may suit you better. This page is for stores that need more control over content, checkout or integrations.
What we build into an ecommerce website
Each store needs a different mix, and the plan lists what is in and what is out.
Content management system
Your staff can add products, change prices and publish offers without calling a developer.
Mobile responsiveness
Designed for the phone first, with thumb-friendly filters, carts and forms.
Multiple payment gateways
Cards, wallets and pay-later options through gateways such as Stripe and PayPal.
Shipping API integration
Live rates and tracking from your carriers, with rules for each country you ship to.
Wishlists
Saved items that bring shoppers back, and tell you what people want.
Easy checkout
Guest checkout, few fields and clear costs before the last step.
Ratings and reviews
Reviews on product pages, in a form search engines can read.
Search engine optimization
Clean addresses, Product structured data and fast category pages from the start.
Tracking and reports
Ecommerce analytics set up to follow the path from first visit to paid order.
Our approach to ecommerce website design
[CONFIRM: Benjamin Sardar reads this page and confirms these steps match client work]
Discovery and analysis
We look at your products, your margins, how your orders are fulfilled and where shoppers drop off today.
Design and development
You approve the structure and designs before the build, which runs on a private test site.
Launch and deployment
We place test orders for each payment and shipping option, set up redirects, and launch at a quiet time.
Analytics and optimization
After launch, we watch where people leave the checkout, and fix the biggest leak first.

Why online stores lose sales, and what we do about it
These are typical situations, not results from a named client.
Shoppers leave at checkout
A surprise shipping cost or a forced sign-up can end a sale. We show costs early, offer guest checkout and test every step on a phone.
Card data sits where it should not
We use hosted payment fields from your gateway, so card numbers do not touch your server. That also cuts your security burden.
Stock and orders do not match
A store that oversells loses trust. We connect the store to your inventory or ERP, and test what happens when two people buy the last item.
A rebuild loses search traffic
Old product and category addresses need a home on the new site. We map all of them and test the redirects before launch.
The store is hard to use with a screen reader
US guidance says businesses open to the public must make their websites accessible. We test against WCAG 2.2 during the build. Ask your lawyer what applies to your business.
Taxes and currencies are left to the end
Selling in both the USA and Canada raises questions on sales tax, GST or HST, duties and currency. We build what your accountant advises and test it with real orders.
Questions buyers ask us
Why does ecommerce website design matter?
Your store is open at all hours and can reach buyers far beyond your town, so it does the job of a whole sales team. Good design makes that work at scale, and the data it collects shows you what to stock and promote next.
How long does it take to build an ecommerce website?
It depends on the number of products, the custom features and the systems to connect. Product data is often the slowest part, so we plan who prepares it at the start. The written scope gives a date for each stage. [CONFIRM: U13 typical build times by project size]
I have a store on another platform. Can you move it?
Yes. We move products, customers and order history where the platforms allow it, and we redirect every old address. We test the new store with real orders before switching over.
Which platforms do you use?
We build on WooCommerce and on custom code, and on Shopify when that is the better fit. We choose by what your store has to do, and we will tell you if a simpler option would serve you. [CONFIRM: U13 any other platform, such as Magento or BigCommerce, before it is named here]
Do you offer maintenance for ecommerce websites?
Yes. Stores need regular updates, backups and security checks, and most need a monthly plan for small changes. How often depends on your platform and how many plugins or integrations it runs. [CONFIRM: U14 care plan terms]
Who owns the store when it is finished?
You should own the domain, the hosting, the payment accounts and all customer data. We set them up in your name, so you can move on from us whenever you choose. [CONFIRM: U14 our standard ownership clause]
How much does an ecommerce website cost?
There is no public price list. The cost follows the number of templates, the custom features, the integrations and how much data needs moving. You see the scope and the fee in writing before work starts.
Who does the work?
Benjamin Sardar, our Web Lead, runs ecommerce projects, with Avijit Bhattacherjee, who leads the website coding team on front end and back end, and Raju Barui as backend developer. They use licensed tools and software, and we travel to our clients every 3 to 4 months. We are available round the clock, 24x7, as per your location.
