Shopify development agency for brands in the USA and Canada
PromotEdge International works as a Shopify development agency for brands and businesses in the United States, Canada and other markets. We design and build stores, move stores onto Shopify, and connect them to the systems you run on. Our delivery team is in India.
In short
Shopify suits a brand whose main job is selling, because hosting, checkout and security are looked after for you. The development work goes into what shoppers see and how the store connects to your other systems. Most stores need a good theme and a few well-chosen apps, and only some need custom code. We will tell you which group you are in.
If you sell in both countries, Shopify's international tools let you manage markets from a single store, so a Canadian shopper can see prices and shipping meant for them.
Shopify development services we offer
New stores, rebuilds and repairs on stores you already run.
Shopify design and development
Theme builds and custom sections your team can rearrange without a developer, designed for the phone first.
Shopify migrations
Products, customers, orders and old addresses moved across from WooCommerce, Magento or another platform, with redirects tested before launch.
Shopify integration services
Links to your ERP, inventory, shipping, reviews and email tools, using apps where they fit and custom work where they do not.
Shopify B2B solutions
Company accounts, price lists and payment terms using Shopify's native B2B features. What you get depends on your plan, so we check that first.
Custom Shopify apps
Private apps for a process your business needs and no app store listing covers.
Headless Shopify
A custom front end on Hydrogen, for stores with a strong reason to go that way.
Selling across the USA and Canada
Currency, duties, shipping and language set up for each market, with hreflang so the right version appears in search.
Store support
Fixes, small changes and app reviews after launch, through one named contact.

Store review and goals
We look at your products, your numbers and your current store, and agree what the build has to improve.
Plan and wireframes
You approve the collection structure, the page layouts and the apps before any design begins.
Design
We design the main templates first, using your real products and photos.
Build on a development store
Work happens on a separate store or an unpublished theme, so your live store keeps selling.
Test orders
We run real test orders, check discounts, taxes and shipping for each market, and test on phones.
Launch and handover
We publish in a quiet period, set up redirects, then watch orders and search traffic. Your team gets a short guide to running the store.

Common Shopify problems, and how we handle them
These are typical situations, not results from a named client.
Too many apps slow the store
Each app can add scripts to every page, and some leave code behind after you remove them. We audit what runs, drop what you do not use, and build small features into the theme.
A theme update wipes out custom work
Edits made directly in theme files are hard to carry forward. We keep changes in version control and build with sections, so updates stay manageable.
A migration loses search traffic
Shopify's address patterns differ from most platforms, so old URLs will break unless each one is redirected. We map them all before launch.
The checkout cannot do what you want
Shopify limits what can change in checkout, and those limits depend on your plan. We tell you what is possible on yours before design starts.
Going headless costs more than it returns
You take on more code, and many theme features and apps stop working as they did. For most brands, a fast theme gives better value.
Taxes and duties are an afterthought
Selling between the USA and Canada raises tax and duty questions a theme cannot answer. We set up what your accountant advises, and test it with real orders.
Questions buyers ask us
How much does it cost to hire a Shopify development agency?
There is no public price list. The cost follows the amount of custom design, the number of integrations, whether you are migrating, and how many markets you sell in. Your Shopify plan and apps are separate costs that you pay directly. You see the scope and the fee in writing before work starts.
Can you take over a store another agency built?
Yes. Add us as a collaborator, and we will review the theme, the apps and any custom code first. We then tell you what can stay, what needs repair, and whether a rebuild would cost less than patching.
Should we go headless on Hydrogen or stay on a Liquid theme?
Stay on a Liquid theme unless you have a clear reason not to. Headless makes sense when you need an experience a theme cannot deliver, or content from several systems in one front end, and you have the budget to maintain it. We will give you a straight view for your store.
Why build on Shopify?
You can customize a store fully while Shopify handles the hosting and checkout infrastructure. It supports selling across borders from one admin, and it connects to a large range of apps and systems. Costs rise with apps and plan level, so compare the full yearly bill with your other options.
Can one store sell in both the USA and Canada?
Yes. Shopify's international tools let one store serve several markets, with local currency and pricing. Separate stores can make sense if your range, brand or legal entity differs by country. If you sell in Quebec, plan for French from the start.
How long does a Shopify build take?
It depends on the size of the catalog, the design work and how many systems need connecting. Migrations also depend on how clean your old data is. The written scope gives a date for each stage. [CONFIRM: U13 typical build times by project size]
Do you offer round-the-clock Shopify support?
We are available round the clock, 24x7, as per your location. Plan any big launch for a time when both teams are watching. [CONFIRM: U14 care plan terms]
